Experience and Passion

John Ferguson is a passionate swimmer and coach. A competitive swimmer in his youth, John is now an avid open swimmer and has completed some of the south west’s main events

River Dart 10k
Exmoor Open Water Swim
Ex-national open water swimmer
Races of all distances from pool to 10km + open water events.
25 Years Teaching & 6 years coaching experience
RLSS Open Water Lifeguard & STA Open Water Safety Certification holder

Competitive Swimmers

John believes passionately that great swimming starts with efficiency in the water. John has trained multiple regional and national open water swimmers from Bristol, Gloucester and as far as Devon.John believes that you can start open water swimming from any age but is looking to develop those aged 10 onwards for competitive swimming targeting regionals and national events

Swim for Fitness

Not everyone is a sprinter and can complete sets quickly so John has devised plans for those planning to swim for enjoyment of the open water. These sessions are open to 10 - adults

Skill Workshops

Enjoying open water but particular skills need a tune up. Get in contact for out short workshops honing in on a particular skill during training.
