Open Water Development Day - 27th May 2026

Dip & Explore are offering an Open Water Development Day on Wednesday 27th May 2026 to be held at Cromhall Quarry. This is open to all swimmers with an interest in competing in distance and open water swimming. This event will cover distance swimming as well as race techniques e.g. mass starts / feeding stations etc. There are 20 spaces available on this day. 

May's Development Day will have a heavy interest in the Regional event in June. 

The typical age group of swimmers in this group is 11-18 but Masters swimmers are also welcome.

The day will consist of
9:30 Sign In at lakeside marquee
10 - 11.30 First Swim
11:45 - 1:15 Talk on race skills / Lunch / Flexibility Session 
1.30-2.45 Event Distance Swim 
3:15-3:30 Sign Out / End of Day

If booked before 1st May - Cost is £30 with the early bird discount, after this until 25th May the cost will be £35

Due to maximum numbers, the form will close once course is full. 

If under 18, Please answer all questions as if the swimmer is completing the form

Dip & Explore are offering an Open Water Development Day in August 2025 to be held at Cromhall Quarry. 

This is open to all swimmers with an interest in competing in distance and open water swimming. This day is usually aimed at Triathlon short distance sprints and fitness ready for the next season

This event will cover distance swimming as well as race techniques e.g. mass starts / feeding stations etc. There are 25 spaces available on this day.

The day will consist of 

9:30 Sign In

9:45 - 11.15 First Swim

11:45 - 1:15 Talk on race skills / Lunch / Team Games 

1:30 - 2:45 Fitness Session

3:15-3:30 Sign Out / End of Day
