This Level 1 workshop will help you achieve your Swim England Level 1 certificate in Open Water Swimming and provide you with the skills to take to the water by yourself. 

This is aimed at all with an interest in open water be that competition or swimming for enjoyment. 

The whole workshop takes 1.5 hours and be a mix of dry side and in water. 

This session will cover

• Pre Water Briefing 
• Discussion on best ways to get your wetsuit on
• Safe Entry / Exit of the water
• Acclimatisation methods and breathing control
• What to do in an emergency / if things go wrong
• Basic Sighting Action for front crawl swimmers
• Group Swimming & Drafting
• Introduction to common start & finish techniques
• 200m Swim

This workshop will help you achieve your  Swim England Level 2 certificate in Open Water Swimming and provide you with the skills to take on your first open water event or triathlon swim. This will be a mix of dayside and in the lake to complete this work

To book this session you must be able to swim 400m

This session will cover

• Pre-entry safety brief
• Sighting technique and patterns
• Drafting Techniques and overtaking
• Group Swimming / close contact swimming
• Various marker turns and when to use them
• Mass Starts 
• 400m Swim in race conditions

This workshop will enable you to obtain your Swim England Level 3 certificate in Open Water Swimming 

.

This session will be run as if in a race scenario with a focus on competing in an event, whilst recapping on key skill and being in close contact with other swimmers. This course we do have a minimum number of 8 needed to run to allow for correct sign off of some elements.

  To book this session you must have received your Level 2 Award with us or another provider (proof may be requested)

This session will recap the Level two course PLUS more advanced techniques

• Pre-Water Briefing
• Sighting technique and patterns
• Drafting Techniques and overtaking
• Group Swimming / close contact swimming
• Different style of race turns
• Mass Starts & How to finish your race
• 400m Test Swim in race conditions
